What is your favorite kind of traveling? do you prefer to travel by plane and stay at fancy hotels, or pack back across a continent through conventional methods (train, hiking etc.) and staying in the wild? Why?

Hiking is my favorite. Even though it has distance limitations, if we select a food travel path in a good location, then a walk could just make you day.

I'm not too thrilled about walking for many miles but I admit that it would give the best experience.

Lately, I've done a lot of 'armchair traveling'. You'd be amazed at some of the places the books have taken me. Of course, I've also always wanted to do a coast to coast railway excursion. I think that would be really awesome.

Haha, the cheapest way to travel! And you can go first class, too. You can have a fully reclining chair and all the red wine and caviar you want (I admit a little imagination may be needed here). But wait, why don't you take the Gulfstream?

Less and less by foot, I'd rather be in a car/aeroplane/train

Travelling is not one of the life's delicacies that I enjoy. Every time I travel in a bus, taxi (car), train or train for a long period ( of about 2hrs), I tend to have motion sickness. This started in early on in my life whilst in primary school.
I prefer a plane, because depending on where I am going, it doesn't take too long, and even when I do get sick, I know I will be relieved soon.

Hiking with backpacks, staying at motels and inns, and travelling on foot is my ideal way to travel. That way I am closer to nature and be in awe at the same time. It helps put the whole issue of creation into perspective.

I've done traveling by train and airplane. I've also done horse riding and boating. I've enjoyed them all. I would like to try ballooning.

I'm scared to death of planes, have never traveled on a boat, I've been on a train once. I think my favorite would be cars, but I want to try to try to travel more on trains.

Definitely backpacking across countries! Not only that I get to see many places, I could also learn tricks in the trade.

I just love to walk. You see so much more when travelling this way and you can meet the most interesting of people who have the same idea. OK, the weather can be a bit of a disappointment at times but being under your own 'steam' can't be bettered.

I prefer traveling by car or airplane. I prefer visiting historical landmarks, museums, and famous natural attractions. I love eating typical foods and learning about the cultures of the places I visit.
