Can't remember the name (will check it out) but saw on the wonderful 'Blue Planet 2' a fish that can change gender!

There's this weird eyeless skink/snake-like creature that can be found in damp places or after heavy rains in parts of rural Kenya. I don't know the name but it ventured into my chicken coop. The hens made short work of it, tearing it into pieces...

All the pieces, including the ones already eaten by the hens kept moving independently! Even suffocated 3 hens. I've seen it once before, I don't think its a known species. It has really smooth skin, impossible to catch, quick and emits some slippery slime.

I'd say the strangest (and most awesome!) animal I know of is a micro-animal called the Tardigrade! They are water-dwelling, eight-legged, segmented micro-animals which can withstand temperature from 1K to about 420K! In fact, they can even survive vacuum!

This is a bit left-field/off topic, but I wonder if anyone could explain how it is that lions and tigers can interbreed though they evolved on totally different continents whilst most creatures (even, let's say, other big cats) can't, even if they're on the same continent ....

There are some very strange and scary sea creatures in the Mariana Trench. Also some that are surprisingly cute.

Have you ever heard of Blob Blobfish ?

It's appearance is very ridiculous. But the animal world is filled with diversity, so this is not the only animal I've found as strange. Also the Angler Fish and Salp are strange to me.

This is the Salp. Apparently, it's own waste helps to remove carbon from the surface of the water. Odd...

Interesting..
I will have to find out more about this.
