My father is the voice of reason in the family. He is loving, caring and an advocate for enriching the mind by reading widely.

Only in the last few years I started understanding my parents.
My dad is a difficult person - much like me. But if I call him in the middle of the night, he will move the damn world to help me. He doesn't always agree with me, but he lets me make my choices and live with them. He's also the most honest person I know.
I just don't like how he is a control freak with my mum. And how he doesn't understand simple things sometimes. But we can all live with that.

While I'd say he's ok in a nutshell, I mostly think of him as a disciplinarian who mostly talks in terms of advice and warnings. Sometimes I wish he was more relatable on a more friendly level.

I would say that my dad is a good man, he does what he thinks is best for us. Somethings the things he does pieces me off, but, I still love him.
I don't think there is anything as an ideal father, you take what you get.

My father: a self-destructive narcissist. Ideal father: Not perfect but loves his family unconditionally and tries to do his best for them.

My father is a man who lives his life searching for things he already has. He is so concentrated on himself and his facade of happiness that he will never truly find it.

The ideal father is someone who loves his children but because of that love, does not confine them to his idea of what is right. Instead the ideal father hopes that his children surpass him in all noble qualities and works hard to be there when they are struggling to become that person.

My Dad was very caring, loving and jovial. He was also very hard working. Despite being blind later in life never gave up.

My old man is a perfectionist, authoritarian bigot...at least that's what I thought growing up. I've grown to love and understand him with age. We are closer now, he's my best friend and confidante. There's no finer man, than that who offers objective advice and solutions to almost every situation.

My father, may God bless hi soul, was a steady man. He always gave attention to all our needs and spent a lot of time with us no matter how busy he was
