If you want advice for improving your Review Score, or need help understanding your reviewer score, please copy and paste the full reviewer score when creating a topic for help here. We cannot tell you why your score went up or down unless you show us both the full previous score and full new score.

Other reviewers will browse the old topics by title to get help. For that reason, make sure to use very descriptive titles when making new topics. Do not use non-descriptive titles like "please help" because that makes the forum very hard to navigate both for those who want to help you and for those need help themselves.

Complaints or disputes about editor scorecards should not be posted here. Those kind of disputes should be handled privately. It's almost always better to spend your time and effort using the editor comments constructively to improve your next review than to spend your time and effort trying to dispute an editor scorecard.

Do not post questions or topics unrelated to the Review Team. This is a private support forum for Review Team Members only, so making posts here that are unrelated to the Review Team would create duplicate topics here and in the public forums. Do Amazon Reviews need to be on US site only?

Post by alyuncookies » 13 Feb 2018, 06:23

Hello all!

I'm new here and wondering if you can post reviews on Amazon UK site instead of US one, as you need separate accounts for them (or so I've found) and I live in the UK with an Amazon UK account. The Review Team Preferences does not say that it has to be, but if they are checking up on it, would they only check the US site?

I can post reviews on the UK site, but just wondering if it has to be on the US one as every giveaway uses the US site (which is also why I can't participate in many of these, since you need to get the free book from it there). This is fine since you can leave out the ability to post Amazon reviews and just do reviews on here, but it would be nice if it counted UK accounts, too!

I've only done one review so far, and it is telling me I will not be shown review opportunities until I have either put an Amazon display name if I can leave reviews on it, or change the preferences to say I'm unable to post them. I'd just like to know whether I can post them on Amazon UK, or whether I have to leave this out.

Thanks in advance for any help!

You are supposed to post it on Amazon US. If you are unable to do so, you shouldn't pick reviews that require Amazon reviews, and you should change your preferences accordingly.

The following thread explain how to get BOTD books: Books from .com version of Amazon for non-.com Amazon users.
In the case of good books, the point is not to see how many of them you can get through, but rather how many can get through to you." (Mortimer J. Adler)

Okay, thank you. I've left a review on Amazon UK for the book I reviewed anyways, since even if it doesn't count for this it will be nice for the author hopefully :)

EDIT: Ah. I don't really want to switch my account over to the US one, so I guess I'll just leave that bit. But thank you for the information! :)
