Fate, black magic, and free will.

Post by KatieSavage »

During Elias' and Yaser's struggles to understand what was happening they began questioning their reality. Yaser was a fatalist but he was struggling with the idea of free will. He didn't know if he made his own decisions or if he was just doing what was preordained. Elias struggled with fate and black magic. He was in love with Malika and he was meant to be with her, but black magic interfered.

What is your opinion on fate, black magic, and free will?

I don't believe in black magic but that does not stop it from being practiced. From my perspective, the notion of faith as used here literally wipes out the need for free will. It's through free will, that one's faith can be determined.

There is a saying that you become what you believe. I don't believe in black magic. But I believe in free will. I believe that we are all given choices in life and you can either make good choices or bad ones. Either way, those choices define you.

My definition of fate would be the purpose one was created for. Hence its our duty to find our purpose and execute it.
A ship is safe in the harbor but that's not what ships are for. So be the person outside the box, get out of your comfort zone, that's the person you want to be.

I definitely do not believe in black magic. However, I do believe in free will, and even fate to some extent...

I believe in free will and that human beings can influence their fate and destiny by the choices they make.

I believe in free will, I don't believe in fate and I think black magic can only affect you if you believe in it. I like to think the choices I make are what shape my life, I may be limited by circumstances but in the end my attitude to those circumstances will also affect how I handle situations.

All human acts physical or not are driven by our faith/belief. I can't easily dismiss black magic or fate because of that.

I definitely believe in free will and fate because I experience them both all the time. I don't know much about black magic though, at least not enough to form an opinion. But, I'm sure it exists and is practiced across the globe.

Fate, magic, and free will. I don't believe in any of them, but they make for great stories.
