I don't believe in destiny. It's our actions (and those of people around us ) which determine what will happen in our lives.

I think people can shape their own destinies unless life, duty and finances get in the way. I see so many people stuck in their financial hells that survival is all they can do instead of controlling whatever potential destiny they might have had.

I believe in "cause and effect". The actions we take today, shape our tomorrow. I do admit though that circumstances can be a limiting factor, and I say " factor" because they alone do not determine where you lend up in life!

If destiny exists then what's the use of free will if there's already a predetermined outcome, why even try?
I don't believe in destiny I believe the choices you make determine the outcome.

Destiny: the hidden power believed to control what will happen in the future; fate.

I do believe each person has a fate. However, your fate is your choice. No one is forced to make a decision resulting in a particular destiny. Everything in life is a choice. The quicker one realizes that, the quicker one starts to see positive improvement in oneself. You can control every aspect of your life- down to the finest details. You just have to know how to think.
Never judge a book by its movie.

I agree. God destined us all to be united with him in the end. Whether we will work to fulfill that destiny is up to us.

I really love your school of thought. Sincerely I used to think destiny just comes and hooks you, then creates whatever out of U. But now I have a new mindset, we actually have a lot to do in making our destinies happen. Dont just sit! Do something with your gift!!

I don't believe in destiny but I might believe in that sort of noblesse oblige type of reasoning. If something good is happening to you, you should help others out. It's especially common for super heroes to have that belief. I don't think you necessarily have to include destiny with that though.

I do not believe in destiny. If everything were predestined to happen, then we wouldn't have to make any decisions because nothing we do would affect the results. Then, we would be like robots... programmed.

If it were like 2 years ago, I'd tell you "Yes I believe in destiny" but 2 years later now, No, I so don't believe in destiny. Why? That's because I used to think everything was already figured out. I just made plans and met people and felt we just clicked and we were destined to meet and everything was just perfect. But I guess I was wrong. We came to this life to roam the earth and find our own base values and lean on everything we possibly can, until our final breath blows off.
Most times, I fall flat on my face. But never do I remain on the floor; I rise again.

Destiny is a nice concept - it helps people give meaning to things/events/choices and provides a sort of solace when things go wrong too. I have a condition, and my family, being Catholic, sees it as my "burden to bear," and that it's part of a bigger plan. There's no bigger plan. I don't believe in destiny, but I find the opinions on it interesting.
