Destiny in my opinion is a crock of sh!t. Yes we are all delivered specific and challenging cards to play, but you control yourself and your actions and that creates your destiny.

I think we do have a destiny, but the path we choose to get their is our own. I believe there are many paths to be taken, and our decisions to take those paths make us who we are. But I believe where we end up never changes and is our absolute destiny.

This could be discussed in so many ways. I agree with many opinions previously stated. Even if destiny truly does exist (which I quite believe in), it is still up to us to shape it. The choices we have are predetermined, but it's completely on us to make the final decision. It's interesting to see different point of views, they differ the most depending on age. A few years ago, I didn't believe in destiny at all but it kind of makes sense now. Still, I have absolutely no idea how it will turn out.

I do believe in destiny - There is a pre-written course of your life. But you wouldn't know that yet would you? I hope mine folds out soon, and does it well! :)

Yes I do believe in Destiny but that doesn't mean that you do nothing and you'll be floated towards your destiny .. You have to do effort to reach towards your destiny

I don't generally believe in destiny because I like the idea that the decisions people make matter. Destiny is a great idea when you are destined for greatness, but the idea that if you aren't, then you're just screwed, isn't nearly as fun.

I believe in some form of destiny, but ultimately, our life is what you make of it. You can't just force yourself to do something you don't want, and even if you're "destined" to live the life of a great hero or warrior, maybe you don't want that for yourself. Maybe you just want to settle down, be a simple person with simple desires. I was reading a retelling of Sleeping Beauty, where the Prince decided not to kiss the sleeping princess, only because he already had everything he needed and didn't ask for anything more. Unfortunately, the princess was still rotting away in her sleep, but still.

Spirit Wandering wrote:If you define destiny as fate, then I do. However, I also believe in free will. I think both exist, in the context of reincarnation. Between lives, I believe we choose our path (fate) in order to learn certain karmic lessons. Once we are here, we will have experiences that are part of those lessons. Our response to those experiences is where free will comes in. We can choose to reject any hard or painful experiences but they will just keep coming around until we do.

I do believe in destiny. I also believe each and every person has something unique to offer to the world. Some people have realized some people have not.

I think of destiny as a journey, not a destination. A journey where you increasingly improve, you succeed, sometimes you fail, you try, or give up. Part of the experience called life

Yes i am a firm believer in destiny. I believe we meet people, go to places due to a certain reason and just not randomly. I don't know what is my destiny? I am still travelling towards it.
What is the most special thing I did today- I was MYSELF. Happy and in love and unapologetically myself.

I don't really believe in destiny. I believe that we as humans create our own destiny. I know I'm young, but that's my opinion for now.
