The Three Musketeers by Alexandre Dumas. I was around 9 or so. My mom had the entire Dumas collection in her library so I then read every single book the French author had ever written...Fun times...

I don't remember exactly which book it was, but it was one from Enid Blyton's Famous Five series. I still have some copies of the series and read them when I feel nostalgic.

The Little Witch by Otfried Preussler - I don't remember the exact age, but I remember my mom brought it to me and then I just wouldn't stop reading. I would like to re-read it one day.

I vaguely recall some of the books I read in Kindergarten, but I distinctly recall reading Little Women in 3rd grade. Elizabeth Enright's Melendy family books were the ones I reread from my local library every chance I could get them.

The first actual book I read on my own was "Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing" by Judy Blume.
