I was thinking perhaps heaven sent power to his soul because God has decided he will be the person/soul to save the world. And they tapped into his sister in heaven to lend strength, which weakens him as it's used.... but I can't wait to see what explanation is given in subsequent books.

According to me, Miracle is something that happens for our good and surprises us at the same time. I has happened to me many times.

I was also curious about this. I wondered if he was channeling a "demon" that meant well (maybe Arthur if he is still around somewhere). The demon that Arthur battles in the Prologue asks Arthur, "You aren't quite human anymore, are you?" Sure Arthur is what the demons made him, but I still wasn't real clear what that meant.

I wouldn't say a miracle, it has to do with faith. Haatim said he felt protected so thats faith

I think what Haatim did can be considered a miracle especially since he was praying while it happened. As for the 'channelling' maybe he has some inner power that needed to be released? ? I don't know..just a thought.

Maybe or maybe not. I don't want to reach to any conclusions before I read the sequel.

I don't think I would call it a miracle as such but a shield of faith yes. He managed to channel the supernatural power of God through his strong faith. It leaves something to be desired.

I think it was both Divine Intervention and An Armour of God himself. Summoning or rather Channeling God, if you will, requires strong willed humans and definitely requires a lot of energy to be invested. And why not? We are fighting the Evil here!

What is a miracle, really? Did y'all notice that Abigail continued to be unscathed and mostly unhurt throughout her numerous encounters? Why? Perhaps because she believes that what she's doing in right and just. Same with Hashim. His uncovered faith, which was there all along once he re-opened his heart again, protected his mind and filled his heart. Consequently, he was tapped in and turned on and could not be assailed by the demon who recognised this. In essence, a miracle is being in synchronicity with the moment.

I think that a lot of the time God provides supernatural protection when we don’t even know it. Haatim’s protection was just a visible manifestation of that. I’m not sure what she meant by channeling, but I can see why he was exhausted. He did lots of physical activity.
