I expect romance in every adult book be it action or otherwise, simply because romance makes the story real. I mean its part and parcel of us.

I feel like there was so much going on, how could romance be thrown in? There was no time in all the action. The book was perfect the way it was. It was a nice change not to see anything.

I personally liked it this way, since I feel that a romance would have ruined the smooth flow of the book, and would have punctured the horror of the book. I truly hope that no romance blooms between Haatim and Abigail even in the upcoming books.

For me to enjoy romance in a story, I need to be able to see the romance develop. I do not like romance when it is forced or all of a sudden for no reason at all. I do not believe stories always have to mirror life but when it comes to romance I feel like media including books are so saturated in quick easy romances that people are beginning to believe that that is how love works.

It depends. There are instances when the love affair of the main characters in a story does not actually help in the development of the story.

From the bottom of my heart, I LOVE ROMANCE. Lack of it makes a book boring, but that does not mean I don't read other books. Well developed romance by the author is a plus for me.

As far as I am concerned, I personally think that the addition of a romance in books like these just ruins the flow of the book with unnecessary additions. I would prefer the series to go on without any romance between Haatim and Abigail. However, if the romance does not intrude in the main story that much, it would be fine, and I am sure there is going to be some sort of romance in the next books, as far as the story is concerned

I like the books in which romance occurs between the characters of the book. It draws me towards the story and makes the book more interesting for me.

A romance between Abigail and Haatim would have been too obvious during the first installment. I think the author will possibly develop their relationship during the next installment. The characters were growing on each other during this book.

I really don't see how a romance could have developed between these two characters. For one thing, the book was fairly short, so I don't think there would have been enough time for romance to develop. And secondly, these two characters are so far apart in personality and beliefs, I can't imagine a romance between them at this point. That being said, as the characters develop as the series progresses, maybe a romance will develop in the future.

Sometimes it's nice to have a story stay focused on the main idea and not have it get bogged down with romance.

I like that there wasn't much romance going on here. It's refreshing to see the other part of ''love'' which isn't always about all those cliché things. Among the sea of books of any genre that are still full of romance, it's lovely to see one that isn't obsessed with it. Not everyone likes to read romance if that's not the main genre.

I am not sure, depends on the context...sometimes the romance just isn't necessary. Most especially for this genre.

No romance! The first book was just fine without it. Men and women are not just potential love interests- they can be potential friends. I hope they have one of those awesome dynamic duo friendships.

I found that it was a breath of fresh air to not have the two protagonists forced into a romance story. I don't thick romance would have been right for this book or the characters. If it develops throughout the series, I can just hope that it will develop naturally.

I kinda think romance is hinted at in this book and that the following book will have a lot more about Haatim and Abigail, they will definitely be a thing.
