Would you make the Station Eleven a Movie?

Post by ilovechickens777 »

Sorry, I seem to always ask this. But would you choose to make Station Eleven a movie? Just want to hear peoples' opinions.

I just finished this book last night and think it would make a great movie.

I'm only part way thought it, but already think it would be an interesting movie. It would require a lot of clever directing, though, with all the jumping around to different times.

I think it would make an excellent movie or even an HBO miniseries.

People doing movies like this have to be very careful not to make things confusing and complicated. However, if they do it well it could be amazing!

Thank you for sharing your opinions. I too think it would make a great movie as long as they do it properly. On the other hand, I enjoy imagining the characters the way I imagine them and I am not sure if I would ruin my perspective on the book by watching the movie.

I really enjoyed reading this book. The characters were strong and I think that it could be made into a movie. However there were some threads that lacked certain substance which could be improved upon. Interesting ideas, gets the imagination working and makes you appreciate the modern world that we live in today.

The book could be made into a good movie. There have been other movies made
about epidemics. I thought that the book was different from the other movies,
because of the unique stories that described the character's lives before
and after the catastrophic event.

Books should be made into movies only if it is able to carry the essence of the story. A lot of movie adaptations have been disappointments.

I personally love it when any book gets made into a movie. I just like to see the story played out and compare it to how I visioned it all in my head.

I guess it would make a very good movie. So much mystery is going to be a great hit!

I think not. It doesn't even work especially well as a book. There are parts of it that are good, like the way the plague spread and the fact that it was a plague that sent humanity tumbling. But I think there was too much focus on Hollywood drama and the story lost focus. It wouldn't work on screen unless it was completely changed.

I think if this were done well it would be a very good movie. I always love to see how the settings and characters match up with what I was picturing in my head.
