I met Garon Whited!

Post by Scott »

Today I had the pleasure of meeting Garon Whited, author of Nightlord. He's a really cool guy! And funny! :D

I believe he is being interviewed on the OnlineBookClub.org YouTube Channel soon. So look for that!

That's really cool! It's always nice to meet authors. How did you guys meet? Can't wait to see the interview. :)

@hsimone We were doing his book for my in-person book club, so he came by for that. :)

I saw Garon again last night. I saw him buy a whole hot meal for a homeless man in my town, Manchester. That generously doubly cool to me since Garon doesn't even live here.

I almost missed it because Garon was pretty quiet about it.

He's truly an incredible man, and he deserves all the success his book is earning.

He sounds like an amazing guy! I'm so glad that OnlineBookClub can help along with in-life book clubs to spread the word about his novels. I wish him the best of luck -- he definitely sounds like he deserves it! :wink2:

Oh! Wicked! I always get so jealous of others when they meet authors! (Even if I've never read the book, it's like you're in the presence of royalty!) The closest I ever got to an author was Ellen Hopkin messaging me on Facebook years ago.

I am sorry that you had to meet him even though it looks like you were having a good time. He is just a terrible writer in my opinion. I could not finish his book because it was to long and did not get to the point. It took me four days to get fifteen percent of the book done. If I would have met him he would most likely not liked what I would have to say about Nightlord. It has to be one of the worst books that I have tried to make it through. I read a lot and I could not wait to quit the book so I could do the review on it. I did not lose any sleep over not finishing the book and have already started another one. He should have put more time into the details of the book versus trying to get a dollar in his pocket. I cannot believe there are so many high reviews on this book.

That's so cool! It's always fun to meet an author and it's especially neat when they turn out to be a genuinely nice person.
