Remember one of those Cartoons you watched when you were little and you were like "haha wait... what? ... gross!", or maybe you were just like "Gross! change that disgusting cartoon." Whatever your reaction was to those disgusting episodes let me tell you of a book that will take you back to that moment when you're torn between "gross!" and "haha".
Sigfried's Smelly Socks is a funny and disgusting children's book, meant for children between 3-7 years. It has witty rhymes that catch your attention and make you laugh. The main character who's name is Sigfried embarks on a journey to figure out why his book smells so terrible. The author joins Sigfried on his smelly journey to figure it out.
Sigfried explores the different smells on each page, and tries to think back to what might have caused them. From rotten food, to dog pee. You'll be amused and revolted by what Sigfried's baby sister did with a particular page of the book after she dirtied her diaper. Nothing seems too extreme for Sigfried and his family. However, his book isn't the only thing Sigfried owns that is "whiffy" The pile of socks he keeps under his bed will apparently make you pass out if you smell them. Hilarious right? How he describes the smell of his socks is funnier it's actually my favorite part:
I mean, if my socks smelled like ostrich breath and old potato it would definitely burn my hair tooBut nothing compares to the other smell that burns the hairs on my head
Sigfried decides to clean up eventually but be warned. If you think what I've already told you is hilarious or too horrid, when you find out how Sigfried chooses to wash his socks you might crack a rib or just pass out. There's also a little fly that seemingly wants to help Sigfried through his smelly journey. I found this book really funny and smelly. The illustrations are nothing short of astounding. Some cartoons are funny and have extra-long noses, Others have large heads and they are very interesting to look at. I strongly recommend Sigfried's Smelly Socks to children of 3-7 seven years it's an interesting book to read along with your child. However, the book is not for all children. It has content like mention of dirty diapers and smells that might be off-putting to parents and children who get easily disgusted at the mention of such things.
I rate this very smelly and funny book 4 out of 4 stars, because it's amazing and it made my night so much better.
