Reading about history and politics is one of my best hobbies. Whenever I come across a political blog, I spare some time for it. It is true that politics is a dirty game but to me, I just love whiling away time reading about it. No wonder I couldn’t hesitate to read BOOM! Even before reading any information on the blurb, I had known the major theme of this book. The cover page of this book speaks out what lies in the several inner pages. The presence of strips with stars at their peripheries represents the great American flag. The presence of a donkey gaiting its way away from the ballot box and the presence of an elephant stamping its feet away from the same ballot box shows the real nature of American politics, bipartisan. Harry has designed the cover page to enable readers to know what the book is all about at a glance, American political system.

Thomas Richard Harry’s BOOM! : A Revolting Situation entails the great anticlimax that the government has shown to its citizens. The book traces the historical and political path that the USA government has been trailing on over the years. It equally covers the political conflicts that have marred the country for a long time. The author provides an opinion of relieving the country of the heavy yoke that has been bestowed upon her due to the two-party system.

BOOM! Exploits the litters and the dirt that both the donkey and the elephant have brought to the nation. The book explores the dissatisfaction that Americans have regardless of the party that is controlling the realms of power at whichever time. The dark side of bipartisanship is exposed and the rot that it has caused is equally brought to light. The book shows that even though bipartisanship is good, it is not marketable in this political era.

I really loved the author’s stand as he narrated the story. He felt it is fine to remain neutral as he pointed the blemishes on the skins of both the elephant and the donkey. Harry reveals the bitter truth, that a good number of Americans today prefer to trod down the political path without riding on either the liberal donkey or on the conservative elephant. They see it better not to identify with these two beasts whose skeletons have littered the country’s political history. I liked the author’s positivity as he told his story.

I would recommend and dedicate this book to any reader who may like to know more about American political structure, its genesis and how it came to be in its today’s condition. Harry’s neutrality will definitely install your confidence and as a result, he will earn trust from readers from either side of the political divide. His great writing skills are capable of inspiring any reader. To summarize it all, BOOM! Represents the voice of the American people.

This book seems to be well refined of mistakes. I failed to notice any and so I felt it good to rate it 4 out of 4 stars. This is a must read political thriller that cannot fail to satisfy a reader’s curiosity.
