Blink: The Power of Thinking Without Thinking by Malcolm Gladewell is a great psychology book. The social experiments that he describes are really interesting, and the book as a whole is a great read.

A book that I've found really useful is Mind Myths: Exploring Popular Assumptions About the Mind and Brain by Sergio Della Sala. It was on the reading list of a Psychology course that I completed a couple of years ago, and it was fascinating. There's quite a big neuroscience element, so it may not be the kind of thing you're looking for.
