I really enjoyed reading PS. I Love You by Cecilia Ahern and loved her writing style. I would love to pick up this books you recommend by her. Isabel Allende
Both of these a monumental authors who wrote using magical realism. I could not recommend their work enough. One Hundred years of Solitude may be one of the greatest ever written.
