Horror book vs Horror movie

I always preferred horror movies than horror books. I tried read some horror books, but I couldn't get into them.

I just never how a book can be frightening.

I prefer both. A good scary movie of quality is hard to come by these days. I like to be on the edge of my seat.

I love both, but fairly useless watching a movie because I get scared so easily. I watch the scenes through my fingers, makes it somehow less scary.
But I love reading a horror book as well...and then I lie awake in bed, with my overactive imagination playing out scenes from the book and having it come to life.
I guess I am pretty much useless either way. LOL

Neither. However, if I weigh in, if it is a book, you can skip the pages while if it is a movie, you may cover your eyes

I prefer books. My imagination can create scarier images than any film can. Lately it seems like movies classified as horror are just slasher films where one by one, the characters are killed off using various methods of gratuitous violence. It's too predictable and it becomes difficult to tell one from another.

I like Horror movie better than a horror book. In movies, you can visually watch the gory images of whatever character in a horror movie would look like. Whereas, in a horror book, it’s only up to your imagination to visualize each character’s gruesome image. Horror movies also have visual and sound effects that would add up to the horrifying thrill in which a horror book couldn’t provide.

I can't stomach horror movies, but somehow horror books are as easy to read as any other genre. Am I the only one who thinks that?

Whenever I read a horror book, I actually think they would do better as a movie and that is an exception for me. Unless it's something like Stephen King horror which is so deep it's better a s a book.

I prefer horror movies, but that's because horror books scare me more. I get more invested, which is a good yhing, but it's more stressful. I can cover my eyes during a movie

I'd much rather read a horror book than see a horror movie. I think because I'm such a visual person that seeing the scary scenes on tv make it seem much more possible that it could happen in real life...to me. And don't get me started on a vivid imagination!
