Once I start a movie I usually don't stop watching it to read a book I don't think I would even concentrate on the book once I've started the movie.

I do this quite often, specifically with the hunger games, divergent, beautiful creatures, shadowhunters, vampire academy and the twilight saga. This is due to the fact that I did not want the movie to influence how I view the characters or the storyline. Although, for some of these I did not mind the movie or tv show version, despite some discrepancies between the two.

My biggest regret is watching the Harry Potter movies before reading the books. I was young at the time and wasn't into reading. I only just read the books a year ago, and I feel I've ruined them a little. I wish I could have a fresh start, because there is so much to appreciate in the books, and watching the movies tainted them a bit. Obliviate!

If there's a movie coming out that is based on a book, I try to read the book first to get the full "book experience"! Then I go and see the movie :)

I love to read books that make films. To be honest, there was no such thing yet that I liked the film more than the book.

I always prefer finishing the book first . I love visualizing characters and building the scenes in my mind and then go to see the movie to compare.

I don't wait. I've seen that reading the book automatically makes people prejudiced against the movie adaptation, but if you watch the movie first you might just like it, and you're likely to appreciate the book even more. Because of this I have no problem watching the movie before reading the book. I might actually refuse to see the movie if I particularly enjoyed the book.

I only did that with Emma by Jane Austen, as for the rest, I was too curious to wait until I have finished reading the book.

I did this for the Harry Potter series. But for the other books/series, I really don't mind. When I have the chance, I prefer reading the books first before seeing the movie.

I always hold off on watching a movies series once I learn there is a book. I just found out that Witcher is a book and refuse to watch it until I read it.

I did the same with Harry Potter. I pictured Bellatrix in the books as the actress they cast in the movies before they did, a nice surprise!
