I read the book and have not seen the movie yet. I enjoyed the book even though I got bogged down right about in the middle. I continued and was glad I did. I look forward to seeing the movie. Happy New Year!

I passed on this book as well because it seemed very 'meh' but after hearing great things about the movie I might actually check it out. Not sure yet.

This is one of my top 3 physical book tbr pile. Holding off seeing the movie until I finish the book. I kept meaning to borrow this book from my library and recently I was gifted a copy. It was the perfect timing for me to put it on top of the pile.

I didn't like the book or movie. I wanted more characters. The main girl bored me, and I didn't like her. The mystery was interesting enough, but it was extremely predictable because there weren't many characters, so I suspected the culprit the whole time.

I've watched the movie "The Girl on the Train" yet haven't still read its book... I like the movie though and hopefully wouldn't be disappointed reading the book as well.

I loved the book, which is why I wanted to see the movie. I think that the movie was good overall, it followed the plot well but I still prefer the book. I feel like I got to know the characters a lot better because of the book and also it was easier to follow the dates and timeline in the book.

I read the book before I watched the movie and was pleasantly surprised how well the book adapted to the screen. I feared there would be an element missed while portraying Rachel in the film version without her internal dialog we receive in the book. However, the actress (Emily Blunt) clearly read and understood the character enough to leave a captivating performance.

I have only read the book and quite enjoyed the thrill ride it gave. I had my sights and anticipations on certain characters in the story that made the end all the more engaging.

I found the book to be incredibly exciting and well written. You felt hungover when Rachel was and really understood the paranoia she went through. The movie just couldn't live up to that. The acting was ok but I definitely didn't enjoy it as much as the book.

A good book and a good movie. But nothing can beat the adrenalin rush which we get while reading a book.

I love The Girl on The Train. Such a fantastic way to write a book, from the perspective of different characters. I enjoyed the movie just as much and I also love Emily Blunt so I felt she did a perfect job!

I haven't seen the original movie but I saw the novel's Indian adaptation a couple of months ago and truly loved it. I later found out that it received a lot of bad reviews. It had a few flaws here and there but I wouldn't call it a complete flop.

in relation to the book, the film was not so good. the reason I think the film was lagging behind was the ending reminiscent of a classic American film
