DO YOU KEEP TRACK OF MOVIES YOU SEE?

Welcome to Films and Books Forum, the place to chat about movies, post movie reviews, compare a book to its film adaptation, discuss what makes a good book-to-film adaptation, and suggest books which you think would make a great movie adaption.

No I don't. I don't have much time for movies when I do I would rather spend that time reading. We have recorded Revenant on our t.v. for at least a few weeks now and still have not watched it.

Hey suzy1124! I sort of keep track of them all in my head but I haven't actually noted them down. I read way too many books to note and way too few movies (easy to remember!).

I don't really keep track of the movies I watch, but if it is a good or bad movie I like to review my likes and dislikes on Facebook. If I go to a theater, I enjoy keeping the paystubs as a little memento

Wow! I'm in awe of those of you who keep journals of the movies/books you've seen/read! I've been meaning to do it for ages, but at this point there are so many of each, it would take forever just to write down what I've already seen or read. Still though...one of these days I need to do it!

Hello!

First post on the forum, mostly because of how relative this question is to me.

I do keep tracks of every film I see, when I can, with the website ICheckFilms. It's a handy site that, at its most basic, can compile the films you've seen, at anytime, and tell you how many you've seen, potentially within your life if you can remember every film you've seen. Beyond that, official lists of films, which is excellent when you'd like to complete, for example, the 1001 Movies to See Before You Die list. You can scroll down each list, checking off a new film that you've seen. Very excellent!

I don't keep track of the movies I watch, but I do keep track of the books I read. :)

I don’t keep track of the movies that I watch, but I think that it’s a good idea and I might start doing so in 2018!

No, I don't keep track of movies I watch. I even find it difficult remembering the names of some.

I keep n Excel spreadsheet of all the books and movies (including TV shows) that I own. It includes ones that I want to find. Then once its read I change the background color. I'm horribly OCD so this helps, especially if any friends or family borrow something.

Yup, I track them by rating them on movielens, which has the added benefit of recommending me movies I might like. I've personally found their recommendations to be spot on.

Yes I do! I keep all of my movie ticket stubs so that I can look back and remember the day I saw the movie. It's especially exciting to remember the day you watched a movie based on a book =)
