It depends if I just want take a little break the one sitting movie but if I want to pass the holiday series for sure. One more thing, I don't like following up on a series that just getting released I prefer wait, have it all then see it.

Depends. If the storyline is great and can be developed further, I'd prefer it as a series. But if there isn't a lot to cover, then I'd rather have it as a movie so that it doesn't drag unnecessarily. I also like series which focus on one issue per episode, like comedies or detective shows, where they solve one problem per episode, but there's also the major mystery which goes on throughout the duration of the series.

Honestly, I would prefer a movie, as my attention span tends to dwindle over 6 seasons with 25 episodes each.

I love both. It depends on the storyline because some movies do not need a series to follow. One movie sums it up. There are others that could keep going for ages and it is hard to get enough of them. You want more every time you finish one.

Personally, one sitting. It develops your imagination to question and interpret what would happen after a movie. To continuously rely on someone else's interpretation of a story (sometimes it's not the original author) doesn't help us in my opinion.

I love series but time is such a rare commodity some times, so I have to say I would prefer one sitting movies.

I really wish my favourite movies were series......
Imagine if we had no secrets, no respite from the truth. What if everything was laid bare the moment, we introduced ourselves?

I have a few series that I like but if I had to choose I would go with a one sitting movie.

I agree, series do take up alot of one's time, and time is so precious.

I generally prefer a free-standing movie, the reason being that not many people are able to keep a series fresh after the first few installments while a movie tends to have had every detail thought through and been made to be the best it possibly can. But I will say some series could not possibly be made into a movie because they are perfect as is.

I like both, depending on the length of the series, but mostly a movie because of the time I have after a full day of regular work and writing. Mini-series I like tho.

I don't think a lot of movies leave out a lot of the scenes to flow with the story. The better-written ones. I like to see different movies, genres, to get ideas of the developments of the movie.

The problem will the series is that sometimes they can get a bit boring. Sometimes they add too much drama and backstories, just to complete the required number of episodes.

It solely depends on the story and the genre. Sometimes a movie feels too short and a series feels too stretched.
