It's great to hang out with friends over a block-buster or re-watch classics.

Movies are basically books reimagined. They're the moving pictures, the product of imagination.

I watch movies mainly for the suspense and to feel the rush of anticipation that I yearn for on slow days. Also, I like to watch some movies that were based on a book to compare.

I guess I like watching movies most to pass the time, but I also watch them to hear the stories the creators wanted to share.

I feel that the best reason for watching a film is to have the feeling of being in a place where I can otherwise never be. This holds for series as well, like visiting places like Westeros, or other planets for that matter.

well it's kind of the same reason I read books. Books are better at letting me connect with the characters and situations. They have more details and such. Movies have a cut and a budget but sometimes it lives up to a book's standards-almost. I like watching movies because I think it's interesting to see it after I've read the book and how they put the character's into "real life."

I watch movies to kill time or just to have fun. I prefer to watch comedy or action-packed movies. Sometimes to learn new aspects in life. It really depends upon my moods. 😁

Anyone interested in ASIAN LAW AND MEDICAL MOVIES especially the Korean ones?
When I react to movies, I hear people say; don't take it serious its just a movie.
I get that the romance can be overrated but what of the issues in the law and medical movies that one can relate to? The medical movies are quite educating, they might not hit the perfect score of being professionals or having a professional setting but there is always one thing to learn.
I learn from movies ; that is why I watch them. I pick what will benefit me positively from it. When I need to laugh, I pick one that does it for me.....

I agree with your point!

Movies tell stories. And we all need to hear them to learn and better, or be cheerful or emotional.

I watch movies for fun, it helps me relax. The other reason i watch movies is for the excitement and thrills i get from it. Like shouting and screaming at the screen.

I feel there are many reasons I like to watch movies. One reason is it’s nice to escape reality and immerse yourself into a new one. Another reason is because of my profession. I’m an actress, so I love getting to know my craft more and pick up tips on what to do and what NOT to do as an actor. (Looking at you Kristen Stewart)

I discovered movies because as a kid I was heavily neglected by my parents. I didn't have parental supervision and I could watch whatever was on tv. Because of it, it also gave me an idea of how my parents failed me as a child and as an adult. I think movies and television help me cope with my miserable life.
