I could not get into the book. There was way too many innuendos for me. That's all I can think of. Usually I am all about the book rather than the movie, like I am Number Four.
I totally agree.

A bit controversial but The Lord of the Rings... I just preferred watching the movies than reading the books.

The last Twilight movie "Breaking Dawn Part 2" was better then the book. I actually liked the book, but when I watched the movie I thought the vision scene was awesome!

Yes, The Godfather was a brilliant movie. Especially it's sequels.

Jaws was a book? I'll have to get reading, but I agree with you that for it's time. The effects were outstanding.

The Godfather the movie wasn't as amazing as the book.

Dracula, maybe? I tried getting through Bram Stoker's Dracula and it was boring.

In the book, you know it's a vision. The movie needlessly split it into 2 parts. They gave it an epic showdown, as movies do, to wrap up the saga but a lot of audience members were disappointed it was a vision. It kind of felt redundant. I gotta say though, even though I knew it wasn't real, that scene choked me up seeing those characters die.

I liked the film versions of Jaws and The Godfather much better than the books, especially the former.

Silence of the Lambs by Thomas Harris. The book was rather short and the characters were not described in depth. It wasn't a bad book. It's almost as if the purpose of the movie was to be frightening or entertaining while the novel was much more grounded and factual. I think I also read and saw Red Dragon by Thomas Harris and didn't think that the movie was that much better than the book.

Eragon! The book is awesome, the movie disapointing. But to be fair, if you watch the movie without read the book you may like it.

I would have to say the Lord of the Rings Trilogy was better as a movie than as books. The books just dragged too much and in too many places.

Raise the Titanic!
Movie tried to capture the awe inspiring Titanic being raised ,etc. Which gives one a visual opportunity of seeing it happen fictiously.
Impressive views and sights
On the other hand the reverse is true when one finds the parts of the book that were omitted.Very jawdropping!!!

Hunger Games movies were so much better than the books. I thought the books were super overrated.

I’m not sure if they were better, but The One And Only Ivan, Harry Potter, and The Darkest Minds both had awesome movies and books!
