Mine depends on whats in the fridge. I usually buy box's of sliced cheese for like $4 and big bags of potatoes when i get groceries so i always have cheese and potatoes . So my cheap meal is grilled cheese and fried taters. If I have chicken and sausage I cook chicken bog

Gotta be beef ramen with peas and carrots and some cubes of pork. Sooooo easy and fast, plus super flavorful with just some soy sauce, ginger and garlic. Pretty much have all the ingredients on hand at all times.

Mine use to be Mac N Cheese but they spiked the price again, so now it's ramen.

I'm not gonna lie... that sounds pretty weird haha
It does but I promise it's super tasty! lol You cut up a can of spam into chunks and you can either fry it up or throw it right in the bowl with noodles and tooooons of cheese!

My cheap meal is usually rice with whatever veggies are in season. Or sometimes a nice big baked potato.

I was playing around in the kitchen the other night and made grits with butter. Then I put broccoli and some canned tuna in pesto (sounds gross but oddly delicious), then garlic powder, salt & pepper. Mix & enjoy!

Pasta and Ramen Cup'o'soups are my go to

I got a bit of experience on this topic when I was a college student, living on a (tight) budget.
Here are my tips:
- there is healthy cheap food available everywhere; if you think cheap=junk you have to open your eyes (and start reading);
- tuna salads are nutritious, protein-rich (this is for gym guys), and cheap;
- it's cheaper to cook a bigger amount of food and then store it than cooking every meal; I know it's less nutritious, but it's not necessarily junk;
- minced meat is a good way to access cheap meat, and it doesn't have to be all about cartilages or tendons;
- you can buy pizza dough and add whatever (ingredients=nutrients) you want, instead of buying frozen junk pizzas; the price is the same;
- Chinese and African people are really good with sauces; get them to help you; sauces are cheap and make the whole difference in spaghetti;
- middle-eastern and Thai food can be cheap but it's really really spicy; be careful with Mexican food as well;
- in a restaurant, soups have the best quantity/price ratio; at home, it doesn't;
To read or not to read? That's not even a question!

My favorite cheap meal is rice, salsa, black beans, and avocado. Of course, the avocado is optional since it is a lot more expensive. I found this great salsa, black bean and corn salsa, produced by Newman's Own brand. It is so good with rice and some extra black beans!

One meal that I like to make on a college budget is lentils. They're inexpensive and easy to prepare. I'll try them with different seasonings for more variety or with a side of a piece of fruit or toast.

Clean out the fridge veggie soup or fried potatoes and eggs- we live on a farm with our own chickens so we always have eggs on hand.

A veggie stir fry and rice. I just get bulk frozen vegetables and toss in an egg. Soy sauce makes it all taste great.

Oatmeal totally works for me. Not only is it cheap, but it’s also very fast to prepare 😁.
