I have used pressure cookers and i will use them again if i have to. They make cooking so easy especially when dealing with tough ingredients.

When I was 7 years old I remember being so scared of it because it was like a bomb in my head, always ready to implode and take our house with it. I still feel pretty scared of it nowadays. One must be very alert with this tool in case the valve broke, in which case it could effectively explode.

Yup. They have been my favourite utensil for quite some time now after maybe a well seasoned cast iron skillet. I actually used it today for a dish that called for a steamer.

I love my pressure cooker. The best and most comprehensive cookbook I have found is "The Instant Pot Bible" by Bruce Weinstein and Mark Scarbrough. So many different recipes!

I heard rumors that they have exploded! No personal experience but that's what I heard. I use mine for canning mostly - I usually just cook for myself and it's really too big for most other things!

I do. Almost daily. Older pressure cookers used to explode. Now they have safety valves and everything. It cooks food faster and as long as there is enough water, I don't have to worry about burning the bottom. Who wants to stay near the stove and constantly stir something or wait for hours to cook meats or lentils!

A pressure cooker is one of the useful inventions in the kitchen when you need to cook cereals and maize.

I actually thought old pressure cookers exploding is just a way to dissuade children from trying to practice cooking with it. We use it here in my country to make dry beans which takes time before it cooks well

I use a pressure cooker for making a variety of dishes, as we have both large and small-sized cookers at home. But I've never used an electric one.

I prefer the electric pressure cooker compared to the other type which is very loud and scary. It uses a lot of power but is worth it.
