Juicing

Post by Angelbear1307 »

I was just gifted a juicer from my Husband and Mother in Law. What are some of your favorite recipes, do you make large batches, how long will it keep? Thank You!

When I make large batches it's normally orange juice. I store it in an old juice container in the fridge. It normally keeps pretty well for about 4-5 days although I add a little bit of lemon juice to mine so it stays better a little longer. You can also make juice and freeze it for later, make popsicles, or freeze it in an ice cube tray to add to smoothies or a glass of water.

Goodness, I thought I had a favorite recipe but I keep changing my answer when I type it out. I guess I just love trying new things. I have a huge pinterest board for juicing and sometimes I will just pick a random one with my eyes closed. Personally, I find I waste a lot of juice if I make a larger batch so as a rule of thumb for me I only make as much as I'll drink that day. (I get tired if I drink it more than one day, and waste the deliciousness since I'm the only one who drinks it). But something I love to do in the morning with freshly juiced juice is blend it with some bananas and ice for a more filling breakfast on the go.

I love combining different fruits in my juices! Some of my favorite combinations are:
Carrot, apple, and strawberry
Orange, peach, and grapefruit
Strawberry, blueberry, lime, and kale

Happy juicing!

Oh my gosh I've really wanted a juicer. You should post stating what you've done with it that'd be nice to know :D

Cranberry Fizz with Aloe:
This delicious drink is what you need to add to your list of regular drinks, not only is it delicious but has tons of nutritional benefits as well. It super easy to make and takes only a few minutes to make. Here are the things you need to make it:
6 ounces ginger ale.
4 ounces of Cranberry Juice.
2 ounces aloe vera drink.
When you have that list together, its time to make it; just mix up the liquids together real nice, serve with crushed ice and add a tiny sprinkle of rosemary. And Voila! Your drink is ready.more: okyalo

Strawberry and banana is the best for me. I normally make them in single consumption. I know a friend who juices just every green veggie/fruit she knows.

I used to have a juicer but I don't anymore. I always add strawberries and bananas to smoothies though.

I like the combination of fruits like the 4 Seasons and also lemonade.

I've tried juicing before and I've had beetroot, cucumber and carrots. Haha prescribed by my doctor because I'm anemic and don't want to take supplements. I also tried celery apple spinach. They are both yummy and good for the health

I used to love drinking apple and celery juice. It's great for replacing lost electrolytes.
