Now that you mentioned it, I'm definitely interested in trying a crockpot when I'm free to cook.

I love my crockpot!! You can make just about anything in them! I love that you can throw the ingredients together, turn it on, and forget about it for a couple hours!

Crockpots are so convenient! You just toss everything in and the food always turns out great! The leftovers are always delicious, too.

I am, basically, married, to the crockpot. It does such a good job, any time, of the year. Out of all of the cookbooks I have bought, the Fix-It and Forget-It series, by Phyllis Pellman Good, are the best!

The recipes are very tasty and do not call, for exotic ingredients. You can find most ingredients, at the local, dollar store.

As for size of the crockpot, one may buy a mini travel and go, to a seven (7) quart. The Fix-It and Forget-It cookbooks tell one, which size crockpot, goes best, with each recipe.

If you would like, to see, for yourself, before buying, loan one, from your local library. Also, scout your local yard sales, Ebay or Amazon.
I just got a crockpot. It is a huge one. After reading your text, I realize that there are different sizes for different recipes? Is this important? :eusa-think:
Thanks!

I love my crock pot! Perfect for when you are busy and don't have enough time to stand at the stove. I cook anything from chili to chicken to cake!

I love my crockpot. I make a roast and potatoes or put a whole chicken in there. It always comes out moist and tender and takes very little work.

I am always looking for new slow-cooker recipes! Last week I made a fantastic autumn stew based on a recipe I found online, with a few personal modifications. In essence, my soup contained stew beef, bacon, potatoes, carrots, mushrooms, garlic, beef broth, chicken broth, red wine, thyme sprigs (removed after cooking), bay leaves (removed after cooking), salt, and pepper. It was so easy and was quite possibly the best soup I have ever tasted. Both my partner and my sister loved it too!

I only use a crockpot to make stocks or shredded meat. Anything with vegetables just turns to mush.

Crockpots are the bomb.com, you can literally make any meal in them, breakfast, lunch, or dinner! Such a time saver! You may need to do a few experimental recipes first to get the hang of using it, but once you do, your life will never be the same haha.

I like my crockpot, too. I prefer dump recipes where I dump in most or all of the ingredients and let it cook all day. I have a mini one for dips but rarely use it.

I love crockpots. I use them to cook meats, bread and even cakes. They are a lifesaver, especially when you have a busy lifestyle.
