Normally . . . I like to make Boston Baked Brown Bread and I use a recipe that I found in Mark Bittman's book, "How to Cook everything Vegetarian." Boston Bake Brown Bread is my favorite go to every week. I usually eat it with a cup of Lemony Red Lentil Soup or Sweet Potato Bisque (technically, it's a bisque but I always omit the cream and butter to reduce calories but it's still very tasty thanks to lots of spices like curry, tumeric, cumin, oregano, etc.). Maybe I'll make that next week.

I didn't cook or bake anything today. I'm however planning on cooking pancakes or eggs cause I'm kinda hungry and they're the easiest thing to make right now.

Wasn't quite today, but recently I decided to make chili from scratch using some ground venison a friend gave me.
I used my slow cooker and referenced several other recipes online for recommended ingredients. Ground venison, black beans, kidney beans, canned tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, brown sugar, chicken broth, white vinegar, white wine, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, chili powder, paprika, thyme, pepper, cocoa, and cinnamon turned out to be a good combination although I felt that some flavors might conflict. I would improve it by either adding more meat next time and/or reducing the amount of tomato related items a bit, but I was really pleased with the result.

:oops2: :oops2: :oops2: I made my husband coconut macaroons. They did not come out correct. The recipe was correct, I did not follow directions closely enough. Coconut macaroon soft mush. It tasted correct, sweet, and yummy, but did not hold the shape while baking. :oops2: :oops2: :oops2:

I made luscious instant oatmeal. 3 packs in the bowl, splattered with unsweetened almond milk. Chucked into the microwave like only a teacher late for school can and finished with a scoop of plain greek yogurt just for that little extra creaminess as I slurp it down sprinting out the door.
