I have one cookbook that I use. It is my mom's from her grandma. I generally find recipes online and use my familu as guinea pigs. They have never objected and are always willing test subjects.

I have a huge collection of cook books but also a huge collection of recipes online. I use my Google Drive to save all the online recipes. I have them saved to folders and can take them on the go with me by having my phone, tablet, or computer.

My favorite cook books are the ones that churches, schools, and businesses sell for fund raisers. There are so many unique recipes in these books, much better then Betty Crocker.

Likewise, "I certainly stopped buying cooking books and look for recipes online" and enjoy it so much more.
And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. (Revelation 20:12 (NKJV) :reading-7:

It's more convenient to look for recipes online.

I love to cook especially for my family. I always watch cooking shows and my favorite is Jamie Oliver's.I just can't follow all the recipes I like because sometimes the ingredients are not available in our area.

I rarely look in a cookbook now. I'm pretty adept at internet searching and don't keep books around at all hardly anymore.

I always use cook books to search the recipe I want, I also use YouTube and Pinterest. I trained myself cake baking and decoration from YouTube.

I look for recipes online since it's easier than looking for a book. It usually takes me time to find a book so it saves me time to search online

I also stopped buying cooking books. Recipes online are the most practical and versatile. Some of them even help when your recipe doesn't work.

Both, cooking books are great and have timeless recipes but online recipes are more likely to have variations of recipes, which can be really helpful.

I own a few cookbooks, but I very rarely use them. The most recent cookbook I purchased was one published by Stone Brewing Co. because it had recipes for a few of my favorite dishes that used to be offered at their restaurants. 90% of the time, I use online recipes. The other 10% of the time, I recreate recipes that I received in subscription meal kits. I found an app called Paprika and it has been a life saver. It is a recipe storage app that also offers meal planning tools and a grocery list. Worth every penny.
There is no frigate like a book
To take us lands away,
Nor any coursers like a page
Of prancing poetry.
This traverse may the poorest take
Without oppress of toll;
How frugal is the chariot
That bears a human soul!

I prefer cooking books over online recipe to save internet access/data and also, i have a lot of cooking books on my shelf. However, i would seriously consider searching online recipes if i have the timw and internet.
