I love Plantains. I can't seem to say it enough. I love them unripe, ripe, and overripe. I love them boiled, fried, and roasted. I love eating them as part of a dish or as a snack.

What's your favorite plantain dish?

I've seen them on cooking shows. I've tried them in Puerto Rico, but they aren't my favorite.

That was about the only dish I enjoyed while I was pregnant. That's how much I love plantain.
Fried ones are my favorite!

I think the species differ based on the country. But yeah, the taste can take some getting used to.

Ripe or overripe as long as it's soft.

Absolutely!
I'll love to taste various other species, just to mark the differences.

I used to mix it with pancake, especially if it’s overripe. I also sometimes spread it with bread. We can also blend them.

I have recipes for a lot of pastries incorporating plantain. They all taste heavenly.

I've had plantains boiled, as porridge, roasted, and grilled. But my all-time favourite is fried. Nothing beats fried plantains for me. It's so delicious.

I love fried plantain. When it is in season, you will find vendors roasting them on the streets. The unripe ones are healthier and helps prevent goiter. Fried ripe plantain with fried eggs hmmmn....a delicacy. Fried unripe plantain....good snack.

To be honest, I don't know what plantains are. I heard of them only in movies especially in Nigerian ones. I live in Kenya and i am only familiar with bananas 😂.
