I can do some snacks but I won't eat a full blown meal while I'm reading. Other than that, I'll normally just stick to drinking something while I'm reading.

When I was younger I'd always be so engrossed in a book I'd bring it with me to the dinner table and read and eat because I didn't want to put it down. I guess that habit has stuck with me now. I've moved from eating meals to always wanting a snack when I'm reading. Even if I've just eaten, my body will want a small snack to munch on while I'm absorbed in a book!

I also always have tea with me when I have a book. I love snacks but when I read physical books I get stains on the pages! Orange cheeto smudges... haha. I suppose that adds character to the book when you re-read it.

That's a good motto. Digest what you eat while you digest what you read! :techie-studyinggray:

Very rarely do I eat snacks and read at the same time. If I'm feeling cold I will sometimes drink hot tea while I read. Normally it's chamomile with honey and lemon.

I only drink while reading. Eating is not really something I like to do then because I'm scared that some of the food somehow comes down on a page.

I'm usually very paranoid about spilling something or staining my book, so I usually never do unless I'm reading for a long period of time in which case I usually just have trail-mix at hand.

It really depends on what I'm reading. For example, I was once reading a few books from Italian origin and it kind of made me what to eat and drink things similar to those foods mentioned in the book. A glass of wine and some antipasto, maybe Parmigiano cheese bites. A cup of coffee or tea. I've had the experience of reading British books while drinking tea and biscuits. It depends on the story's setting.

I don't really have a favorite place to read at home, I read wherever I feel comfortable. I often go to this coffee shop in my hometown and sit on my spot drinking tea and often a cookie or bread.
