what desserts have you been making this quarantine?

Post by Netvigator72 »

This quarantine means many things for many people but it also means that we can’t go to our favorite dessert place for our favorite cake or pudding. I have however not let this stop me and have been making all kinds of interesting desserts from scratch at home. Be it cheesecakes, lava cakes, biscuit puddings and the list goes on. What have you been making lately and how well did it go?

My family and I have made so much! We've made cheesecakes, cookies, brownies, lemon bars, egg tarts, mango tarts, cinnamon rolls. We've slowed down before we gain too much from all the sugar!

I've made one thing that qualifies as dessert. It's called a German Pancake and it's actually easy to make. I've been wanting to make some more desserts and try them out.

Carrot cake, beignets, homemade ice cream, but my favorite dessert that I've made was a homemade lemon poundcake with a lemon glaze. Amazing!

I made mochi with red bean paste (colored teal and purple). It was a successful endeavor until I had to get oral surgery and couldn't eat solid foods; the mochi went bad before I was able to have solids :(. I also made macarons with mint vanilla filling. They were delightful, but not quite as pretty as some the ones I have had before. I made them using a recipe from one of the best French macaron bakers in Paris. I watched his videos to practice my French but ended up craving something delicious and sugary so I made my own.

I have been practicing to make croissant for a month. But it has been fun teaching my little sister how to make them, even though she was becoming impatient because it took us the whole week to actually bake them.

Cheese pastries have been my go-to. I love them in general and decided to try them out on my own. Other items include chocolate chip cookies and lemon bars.

I love baking! I bake whenever possible, I baked a cake for my boyfriends college graduation and it came out so cute and professional his friends thought I bought it. Not so long ago was my second attempt on brownies and there is just something I am missing and I do not understand. It's so simple, so easy and yet I cant make them haha.

I've been making a lot of cookies and cakes this time. My favorite one to make right now would be my strawberry shortcake.
