Cooking trials and fails

What foods did you try to cook just to have them go wrong? It could be burning the whole meal or adding too much salt or serving raw food

I have tried to make Banana bread in the past and everytime it comes out gooey in the middle. Like it is raw. Guess I use too many old bananas when I make it.

I tried to make eggplant chips and failed miserably. I still ate it but it was extremely burnt.

What is your recipe? It's a family tradition for me and I could possibly help :)

Omg my uncle has this amazing currant scones recipe but they’re a sour dough base and I have never been able to make them turn out right. They’re different than regular scones. These ones are fluffy and buttery and delicious. I really want to learn the right way to make them!!

It could be elevation, too. I have a banana bread recipe from my grandma and I’ve found that if I add 3/4 of the water that it falls for it rises more and doesn’t cave. It’s a quick bread recipe.

My first ever attempt was making chicken soup, i made it five times before perfecting it. I was 16 years old that time and I messed a lot of ingredients haha but, it made me a good cook afterwards and it gave me an amusing memory.

Vegan Croissants were my repetitive epic failure. Normal croissants are already incredibly difficult to make, but you try to use butter replacements and take 3 days for a recipe, just to end up with oily sweet breads, in the end, it is really frustrating! I will, however, not give up! I am willing to give them another go

I tried to make a creamy chicken for pasta and ended up adding too much corn flour to the broth and my family hated it.

I tried baking cake which didn't turn out good because I didn't follow measurements correctly. However, it improved after a few tries.

I tried to make a Ghanaian dish. Lets just say it was a disaster, from the taste to the consistency and color.
