I made Banana chips today. And let's just say your girl has got magic fingers.
All your scholarship, all your study of Shakespeare and Wordsworth would be vain if at the same time you do not build your character and attain mastery over your thoughts and your actions.

My first time making Mac n cheese. Total disaster because it was so dry. It was edible but not so good.

I've had several bad cook days. Once I tried to make Nigerian eggrolls and it was a disaster. The dough was still raw around the eggs, I thought they fried through and I couldn't open them to check. Some persons who ate them had stomach upset

First time I tried to cook beans porridge, I was about 11 yes old. I added too much salt and the food was toast.
The whole house ate it that way though, after threatening to make me eat it all myself.

Hahaha!
OmG! That is really funny.

Makes me remember the first time I made bread.
The yeast was already dead and I didn't know. The bread was very hard, and very burnt...pretty much a disaster.
I tried to eat a bit of it and I got stomach upset!
But others who ate it were okay.

I wish I was the one who suffered the stomach upset in my case, and others didn't :roll2:

I've had an encounter with dead yeast as well. Now, I'm once beaten and twice shy; I always proof my yeast before use.

I don't seem to be much good at baking cakes. One attempt ended up so flat. ANother time, I baked two cakes in separate tins. The one layer cracked a little bit on the top. I iced the bottom layer and then put the slightly cracked layer on top of it. The top layer then cracked even further and the top cake layer broke apart!

My wife asked me to boil chicken. I couldn’t figure out why she would want me to season the chicken first if the seasoning is just going to fall off in the water. So, I boiled the chicken first, then added seasoning When my wife tasted the chicken that evening, she enjoyed the outside, but was very let down that the inside had no season to it. When I explained the process, the part about skipping the seasoning before the boil – she laughed and laughed and laughed so hard. Ater one, we told her mom, and she even laughed and laughed, and laughed and LAUGHED!

Oh my goodness, there is one chocolate cake recipe that I completely fail every single time. The batter overflows the pans and my electric oven literally sets on fire.

Whenever I cooked with soup it is expected that I can’t perfect it. However, one time I cooked a meat and I forgot to turn the stove off. As a result, my stew went seemingly fried.

The food that I tried to cook but failed id Maja Blanca. The maja blanca might end up soft for a number of reasons. It might be because the cornstarch is not evenly distributed within the mixture, or your pudding is not well cooked through, and is not stirred properly during cooking.

I have an amazing recipe for banana bread, but during the pandemic all of the flour was sold out, so I had to use coconut flour. However, coconut flour is much more dense -- you can't substitute 1 for 1 in quantity, so my banana bread was hard as a rock! FAIL! I learned a good lesson though.
