I prefer it. I'd rather get an opinion before I get a book then buying off-of a whim.

I love to get suggestions for books. Keeps me thinking about what I could be reading next. Not that I go with the suggestions a lot. A book has to grab my attention and interest me before I will start to read it. There are some books that I didn't think I would like, and once I "forced" myself to read it I just love it (a suggested book, I might add).

I genuinenly welcome it. It is great to have a book recommended by someone who has already read it. It sparks my interest right away though one time out of ten, I may end up not liking the book.

Sometimes I don't mind people suggesting a book.

If I the person knows me and my reading preferences I'm usually okay with it. Otherwise it can feel like someone's pressuring me into reading something I don't want to coughcough all of high school coughcough.

I do like reading recommendations that are aimed at a wide number of people though.

No one usually recommends books to me, and the few times someone does I have been sorely disappointed. I read The Fault In Our Stars because my friend mentioned it on Instagram, and I read the Divergent series because everyone else was

Yes, but I usually seek them out from good websites or books, rather than from people I know. Lots of personal recommendations I have received did not turn out to be right for me. But I do put weight into the recommendations I see on this site!

I like getting suggestions from people who are like minded to me, then I know that I can trust their judgement.

I do most of the time, because then I have a pretty good idea that I'll like it. If I already have a huge pile of books I'm planning to read though, it can make me stressed.

I LOVE getting new suggestions. I like knowing what other people are passionate about enough to share with me. I also like that handy feature on Goodreads. It has allowed me to break out of my comfort zone and experience new things. Some things I thought I wouldn't like, but I did!

Yes! I read the kite runner, the Uglies, perks of being a wallflower, the stranger, and a few others because someone mentioned them. I am so glad I did!

I always try to mention books to people that I have loved. I hope they go out to read them too.

I love getting suggestions for books because I like finding out about different authors. If a friend or family member suggests a book to read it's probably because we have similar interests and I like having someone to discuss a book with while I am reading it and when I am finished with it.
