I'm interested in reading the following book. Anyone want to read it with me?
(If so, I'll start reading it as soon as I'm finished with the current book.)

Image

Synopsis: Barbara Buncle is in a bind. Times are harsh, and Barbara's bank account has seen better days. Maybe she could sell a novel ... if she knew any stories. Stumped for ideas, Barbara draws inspiration from her fellow residents of Silverstream, the little English village she knows inside and out.

To her surprise, the novel is a smash. It's a good thing she wrote under a pseudonym, because the folks of Silverstream are in an uproar. But what really turns Miss Bunde's world around is this: what happens to the characters in her book starts happening to their real-life counterparts. Does life really imitate art?

A beloved author who has sold more than seven million books, D. E. Stevenson is at her best with Miss Buncle's Book, crafting a highly original and charming tale about what happens when people see themselves through someone else's eyes.

Wow, that sounds like a great book! I'd love to read it with you but need to finish up a few other things before I have time. Maybe we could get started next week?

I wanted to let you know that I requested an e-copy of Circe by Madeline Miller from my library. Apparently, I'm 33 in queue, so it might take a little time. I'll let you know when I'm closer to getting it and maybe we can hold a read-a-long once I have the book. :)
Yay! I would love to read it with both of you whenever you can. :)
@gali and @Gravy I'm ready to start Circe! :)

Awesome!

I'm almost done with my current book (actually, just reading the short story at the end), so I can start as well. :D

Yay!

While I'm here, I'm going to be reading The Ghost Bride by Yangsze Choo.

Anyone interested in it?

(It will probably be the next book I read after Circe.)

It sounds good. Is it part of a series? I saw there is another book with the same protagonist.

I don't think it is. I think her second book is unrelated to this one. :eusa-think:
