Organize your own Read-A-Long!

Post by Gravy »

What is a read-a-long?

Simply when two or more people read the same book, at the same time, and discuss it as they read.

If there's a book you want to Buddy Read (aka, read-a-long), post it in a comment and I will add it to the list.

If you're interested in one of the suggested (or scheduled) books, comment to this thread.

The threads for the discussions will be here, in the Read-A-Long forum.

Just remember, these will be discussions of the entire book. There will be spoilers, so don't click on a random thread if you haven't read the book!

Please include the title and author when suggesting a book, so that other members can look the book up.

Only suggestions with the title and author will be added to the list.

*Members of the Review Team should note that if you are actively reviewing a book for the site, even if there is a read-a-long happening for it, you should not post to the thread/read the thread.

Books looking for interest
khaleesi-reads wrote: 30 Apr 2019, 08:46 Hiiii so I have no idea if this is the right place but I'm falling into a huge reading slump so thought I'd try and buddy read with someone.

I'm looking at reading The Priory of the Orange Tree ( by Samantha Shannon) for all of May and maybe have a chapter by chapter discussion of what's going on?

Let me know if you're interested.

Please note that books will be cleared from this list if the member who suggested them is inactive for more than one month.

Books scheduled

I don't have yet idea what is the best book to read a long. Because it matters what will be the interest of each of you.😆😂

This new feature sounds interesting. This will make the book more interesting, and knowing that the other person is reading the book at the same time will make reading even more fun and enjoyable.

I think this is a great idea, though I don't actually own too many books. I always prefer to do things such as read, paint, crochet, or play games when someone is also doing the same thing. It keeps me focused and is much more fun.
