Do Any Of You Learn Anything From Romances?
Maybe I have attempted to read a romance 2 or 3 times. I did not learn anything.
Do you suggest that I attempt to read a romance for a review or steer clear and read what I am used to reading? I would not know where to begin on writing a review about a romance. Is it easy? It is hard?

For someone who knows nothing about romance, you are off to a good start to learning. The beautiful flowers is a good touch.
I am a romance writer among other things. Romance comes easy for me to write about. "People who can't do, teach." II haven't had many successful relationships but I am a hopeless romantic.
When I write I expose the real depth of my heart. Most romance, if not all, romance writers do. Don't go into the review already defeated. Find a beautiful spot place to read, beautiful and peaceful and let the author tell you their story.
This is my first day reviewing books. I hope I can give encouragement to all who aspire to create greatness.
Spontaneo, the most important thing you can do is always be honest. Your opinion can truly be helpful. You might be surprised, you may find a new hobby of indulging in romance novels.
Good luck and happy reading!

Thank you. What you said was truly inspirational. Personally I am not a great fan of romance, because I often have problems with tracking the relationship quotient, like how and when a budding romance becomes a full bloomed one. To me, they often seem too abrupt, or too slow. But may be if I don't judge and just let the author tell the story, may be I won't feel like this.AmyIvy17 wrote: ↑28 Apr 2018, 21:13 Hi Spontaneo,

Oh, & I like learning all the steamy new "positions". You know those little paperbacks that are 50% Romance & 50% Intimacy...?

My biggest bit of advice though- don't take what you read in one of these books into your real life relationship. Don't expect your man or woman to do what a fictional character does. You will only set yourself up for disappointment. Just have fun with them. They are a fun escape from reality!

It's possible not to learn anything of you already know about the the things in that particular romance book. It's also possible for one to learn something from them.Spontaneo wrote: ↑28 Apr 2018, 16:54 I am the type who has to learn something from a book.
