I love reading because it calms me.
Also there's a lot to learn out there because everyone is filled with different ideas and stories to tell.

I love reading because of the ability to be in my own world. I think reading gives you a great chance to learn more and that is why I love reading.

It is a weird feeling, isn't it? I mean, the thrill of travelling to a new, different world is the simple answer. But I think I love reading because I somehow understand better human nature. The complexities of a person, even if they are fictional, allow me to empathize with other people. I can even make some mental similarities between characters and people I am just meeting and I am amazed to see how different or similar they behave. It is weird, I know.

I am sure I am not alone when I feel disoriented, and sometimes lost with strange grief after reading a book where I fell in love with the characters, am I?

I love to read to learn.
I have an undying passion for learning!
And reading is one of the best ways for me to learn.
I read history, science, politics, economics, geography, culture, even fiction..
To broaden ones mind and horizon, is to broaden ones soul.
Reading is learning for me, I never consider it a waste of time, regardless the topic or genre..

I enjoy learning new ideas and understanding new concepts. Fantasy is my favorite genre, because it's such an open genre that the author can come up with random story lines. Mystery is also one of my favorite genres, because I'm always on the edge of my seat wanting to know what is going to happen next.

There are many reasons to cultivate reading as a hobby but for me, perspectives are one of them that is-reading tends to challenge and change your perspectives. When you look at life through the eyes of another person, you get a different perspective on some of life's most typical circumstances. Empathizing with perspectives that differ from your own can be unsettling, but talented authors can automatically generate empathy for their characters. While reading does not guarantee that you will agree with diverse points of view, it does provide you with the chance to learn about them.

For me reading is an escape, especially during this pandemic. When I was younger I read and read purely out of fascination. I was so curious to find out anything I could about anything. Now it's a bit of both.

It's very rewarding being in someone else's shoes in another place far from your own. The different perspective is an experience I'll keep wanting to have.

Because it works as a coping mechanism when I feel a bout of depression or when I need to feel like I'm in the story itself, helping escape from dull moments.

I love reading. I love the escape it provides. I get so engrossed when I'm reading that it usually takes a physical interruption to get my attention. I enjoy the different worlds and realities that I find. There are so many people to get to know and I'm quite introverted. It is so much easier to acquire information from pages in a book rather than real life.

I come back to this question ever so often, to see if my perception has changed. I think this tome is to escape reality. I think being so drawn into everyday living can be draining even on the good days. So I read to slow down and look at everything. Kind of like a benchmark of sorts.

Reading is the opportunity to live multiple lives in one lifetime. Every book is its own world. Who can resist such adventure?
