I just finished Superhighway by Alex Fayman. I'd say it's a 2.5 out of 5 stars, due to editorial issues, a boring plot, and flat characters.

Rick Riordan is definitely one of my favorite authors. I really liked Throne of Fire but I haven’t had the chance to read Lost Serpent Shadow yet.

The last book I read was "Things That Matter: Three Decades of Passions, Pastimes and Politics" by Charles Krauthammer. I found the book very interesting, thought provoking and full of wisdom.

The last book I read was 1984 and I absolutely loved every moment of it. It really gives insight into the society we’re living in today.

The last book I read was The Surgeon's Wife. I give it a 2 out of 4 stars. The book was good and easy to read but I had some problems with the build up to the affair. The two characters in the book fall in love out of the blue and have an affair. Also the book moved quick at first in the first three or so chapters then slowed down.

I just finished The Girl Who Knew da Vinci. I rated it 4 out of 4 stars because it was a really interesting book. I love the way they time traveled and the rich descriptions of the land and the food. I would definitely recommend this book to all who enjoy historical fiction and romance!

Latest Review: Pancake Money by Finn Bell

Post by Jacki Mac Iver Hill »

I just finished reading "Pancake Money" by Finn Bell and it was an excellent read. There were a few grammatical issues with it but the storyline helped me get past them. I recommend it to anyone so long as they don't have a queasy stomach. I'm submitting my volunteer review tomorrow, (my second :D ) and I rated it a 4 out of 4.

I recently read 'We Own The Sky' by Luke Allnutt - I say 'read', I actually closed it and put it down. It's taken me so long to read this book, I just couldn't get into it at all and I'm so sad about it. I didn't want to give up on it so I kept picking it up for weeks and just reading a chapter or two but it turned into a chore so today, I put it down for the last time.
I give it 1/5 stars :(

I just finished "China Rich Girlfriend" by Kevin Kwan and I rated it 3/4 stars. With much of my surprise, I found it even funnier and enjoyable that "Crazy Rich Asians" because of all the crazy and pompous characters. I can't wait to start "Rich People Problems", I hope is going to be the trilogy's worthy conclusion.

Aluria by Tyler Cook. I gave it a 2 out of 4 stars. It was the very first book I gave a review on for this site :D

Just read Barracoon: The Story of the Last "Black Cargo," by Zora Neale Hurston. Would give it 4/4 ... truly a historical treasure.
