Turns out I've read 38. 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 12, 17, 18, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 29, 30, 34, 35, 36, 38, 39, 40, 43, 47, 51, 52, 53, 54, 58, 59, 63, 70, 87, and 92. There are a couple I'm not entirely sure if I read them or just remember a movie or television version instead. Those I did not include on my list. Many of these I've reread.

I'd claim about twenty-four of them; technically I've read a few more, but they were so long ago that I don't remember them well enough to count. Also, His Dark Materials is actually three separate books, so that might ought to be twenty-six, shouldn't it?

I have read 23 of these books. I was surprised that I have read so few from the list but then I have missed the Harry Potter series! Some great recommendations too.

I have read only 22 from the list but my favourite was David Copperfield by Charles Dickens. In fact, he is my favourite writer. Have never read something like his stories.

I count 38 that I've read. Have you seen this year's Great American Read by PBS? I find it hard to believe some of the books that made it on there, but anyway....

I've read 24 of them. Surprised and delighted to see so many of Jacqueline Wilson's books on this list, as she was a great inspiration.
So many more to read for the future! :)
