I love reading, but have never had the need to write a story myself. I don't think I would have the patience to finish something.

Usually I prefer reading. I am still working on mastering my skills in fiction writing, and I haven't done much of it, but I do enjoy reading and writing reviews or research projects, but to do that type of writing, I have to do much more reading than actual writing.

I love reading whenever I feel down but in some instance when I'm struggling with some emotions that I don't know how else to express, I write.

Neither. They both fulfil very different needs in me. I like them both equally. It's a bit like saying, "Do you prefer chocolate or steak?" You can like both because they're not comparable. For me, that is!

I don't think I could choose one. I love them both so much. I do think that being a bookworm makes me a better writer!

Honestly, it really depends on my mood. I do notice that I am a better reader now that I write...and I continue to read to be a better writer.

I probably prefer reading, but just by a small margin. Also, I keep journals and love writing in those. Yep, it's a toss-up.

I prefer reading over writing just because I tend to judge myself WAY too hard when it comes to my writing.

What a great question! Writing was something that I used to be really into but unfortunately, somewhere down the line, I stopped. It definitely is something of interest to get back into. So, to answer your question, I guess I'd have to say currently I prefer reading but I do have an interest in starting writing again.

I prefer reading. However, I have enjoyed writing. I kept journals for several years, handwritten ones. I also took a course in writing children's literature.

It's the same for me . I write when I'm sad or confused. Also when I'm tremendously happy. But when I'm in a normal stabilised mood, I read. Also when I'm established in a routine, I read.

Reading is my first love, though I enjoy writing too. Reading inspires me and brings me more joy than writing.

I prefer reading over writing because I actually dislike writing. It's not that I struggle with it grammar or vocabulary; I just find it boring. I prefer to read because I like hearing stories told by others.

I love both, I just have to because to me reading and writing go in hand.

Honestly, what I enjoy the most is playing with bits and pieces of plots, worlds, magic systems, etc. in my head. Reading often forces me to wonder what I would do if I were the author, or what would happen if I took this thing from one novel and put it in another, or what if I explored themes the author missed, or what if I made a parody... Things just keep piling up until I end up with a monstrous fantasy spanning several characters and multiverses. Alas, novels don't write themselves, so for now I'm sticking to reading. I still plan on giving a serious go at writing in the future, though.
