I've cried In numerous books but I remember my first book cry
Alliegent
By Veronica Roth. The death of Tris didn't hit me as hard as Tobias's reaction. And I remember how I sulked in my blanket for an hour after that

I cry at books all the time, but the ones that immediately come to mind are "Turtles All The Way Down" (John Green) and "Hunger Games: Mockingjay" (Suzanne Collins).

I cried so hard the first time I read The Book Thief. Even now, when I reread that book, the ending leaves me with such a big emotional impact that I still tear up. That book is so incredible and at the same time so incredibly upsetting. If you read it then you know the ending and you know what I'm talking about.

I cried so much after finishing reading "If He Had Been With Me". I loved the book as it was very well written, but the story was so sad that it left me weeping and feeling completely hopeless. I would still recommend it though.

I have cried to quite a lot of books but none got me bawling quite like 'The Fault in Our Stars' by John Green.

YA novels definitely make me cry even when other novels are much sadder in content. For example, I didn't cry reading The Sound and the Fury (which deals with incest, castration, suicide), but I cried reading the fourth Percy Jackson book because he has to leave Calypso. While I have issues with the book, The Perks of Being a Wallflower makes me sob every time. I won't spoil anything, but the imagery of the last chapter or epilogue is so haunting.

The Fault in Our Stars by John Green can break my heart as many times as it wants. That book simultaneously destroys and completes me. Agustus Waters was my first true love.

I don't think we're ever considered a true reader if we have never cried because of a book! Gayle Forman's I Was Here made me cry. As well as John Green's Looking For Alaska.

The first book I remember crying at was 'My Sister Jodie' by Jacqueline Wilson when I was a child and I've never forgotten it! More recently, 'The Kite Runner' has made me tearful.

I usually don't cry when I read but these three books made me cry. A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini, Norwegian Wood by Haruki Murakami and The God of Small Things by Arundhati Roy.

A book doesn't make me cry easily, but sometimes I come across books that are such tear-jerkers that I can't help crying. Some of those books are Gone with the Wind, At First Sight by Nicholas Sparks, and Dear John.

I don't cry but some of the books are bit emotional and especially the books which are much romantics ad those having sad endings made me heavy-hearted at the end.
