I cried a lot after reading All the bright places by Jennifer Niven. I’ve had so many books give me this same feeling though🥺

Listing all the books that made me cry could take me days to complete. So, I'll only list 3 of those books.

The Song of Achilles

Pan's Labyrinth

Empire of Storms

The Unlikely Pilgrimage of Harold Fry was the first book I cried for. It caught me by surprise when I did, but I believe its due to all the emotions that Harold felt throughout his journey, his personality and manner in which he dealt with each situation in his life. It was strangely familiar and reflected some aspects of my own life as well.
Since this book , I have been shamelessly shedding tears for more heartfelt books and films. :lol2:

The Notebook, The Fault in our Stars and Wonder made me cry a little bit. These are great reads but heartwarming as well, always leaves me an emotional mess. It just shows how much these books connect with readers.

"A Woman to Blame" was the book I first read here, and I got so emotionally attached to it that I cried on a character's death. I felt as though I've lost someone from my own life. But all this goes into the praise of the author because the way he had penned down the story would make any reader get emotionally attached to it.

I rarely cry over books that I read, but the one book I did cry over was My Sister’s Keeper by Jodi Picoult. My mom made me read it and now I’m skeptically of ever book she wants me to read.

I cried during "This Is Where It Ends." The book was so sad at the end that I almost threw it across the room. But the book was excellent and I highly recommend it. Books that make me cry are often my favorite books.

I remember clearly when I read Harry Potter and the Half-blood Prince years ago, I cried so hard when Dumbledore died I could not turn the page. I remember my mom came to my room clearly worried until she saw I was reading.
I also cried when I read The last battle (The Chronicles of Narnia).

Those are the ones I remember, but I'm sure I've cried with others.

A book that made me cry was Indio by Sherry Garland. I was caught up in so much of the scenes it presented. One of my very first historical fiction novels.

I cried a ton at To Kill a Mockingbird, because it was very powerful by the end of it and I loved the book so much. I also cried at East of Eden by John Steinbeck, easily my favorite book. It's such a wonderful allegory and family saga that will make you feel so empowered from misery. Another Steinbeck book, Of Mice and Men, made me cry so much especially near the end. I love books that have the power to make you cry because they can elicit an actual physical reaction from feelings transcribed in words, which is such an amazing feat.

We had to read it for senior year and the day it was due, I was amazed when the first thing the teacher asked was "Okay, did anybody cry when reading this book?" Turns out she and I actually cried at the same parts. :)
I can totally relate! I didn't read it in school but I convinced a ton of people to read it and they all cried too! Especially at the end.
