The Name of the Wind by Patrick Rothfuss. The part where the main character is orphaned and homeless as a young child and reduced to begging on the streets. Had both me and my husband in absolute tears. It didn't help that we have children roughly the same age as Kvothe was at the time.

One that really stood out for me was The lost Symbol. I can not say to much as I am not a spoiler but there was a very unexpected scene that blew my mind with an amazing twist. Thank you Dan Brown.

I cry at the ending of almost any Maeve Binchy book or books by Nicholas Sparks.

The Locket by Richard Paul Evans. I don't want to reveal too much about the book to those who haven't read it.

The Snow Angel by Glenn Beck. I can feel a character's pain as he looks back on parts of his life with regret. His problems differ greatly from mine, but I can relate to regret.

I never used to cry at books, but I recently found myself teary while reading The Beloved Daughter by Alana Terry. And that was within the first few pages. Pretty sure I cried while reading Marley and Me (John Grogan) years ago. I feel my heart tugged more since I've had children than I ever did before. I'm not a crier, I swear!

Such a good question but where should i begin. I have cried at Harry Potter (Duh), The Fault In Our Stars (okay) and Allegiant (although the whole book was very boring but in the end i just couldn't.)

The fault in our stars left me in tears. The way it ended was just so emotional I found myself stopping just to breathe or take it in. I had to wipe a lot of tears

Spoiler Warning for Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows!

I cried in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince when Dumbledore was drinking The Emerald Potion (it was Dumbledore's perseverance and courage that got to me). In Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, I was stunned and angry when Hedwig died (thought there had to be a mistake, so I re-read and re-read, because it would be the most uncalled for death ever, otherwise); Snape's death was brutal, and I was a complete and utter mess (still am, whenever I think of him); but I wasn't too upset about Dobby like most other people were.

Yeah, I'm right there with you. The last book of the series didn't pull any punches. Nearly everyone died. It broke me for a couple of days...

Tuesdays with Morrie, Marley and Me, and the end of The Green Mile. I'm sure there were others because it doesn't take much, but I can't think of any more.

I do not easily cry over books or even movies but usually when a book really penetrates my soul, I end up experiencing the same emotions as the characters. One of such books was Me before you by Jojo Moyes. In my mind if I were to develop a romance with someone who initially was resisting any kind of help and then lose this person yet they have a choice to stay alive, I would be really broken. And so the tears flowed.

The Fault in Our Stars by John Green. I feel like this is an obvious one but I literally wept when I read it.

I cry at all the dog books. Old Yeller, Marley and Me, etc. I should really just stop reading any book about a dog.

Gone with the wind by Margaret Mitchell. I only read romanticized versions of wars before and the potrayal in this book had me crying for days.

Also, I cried when Dobby died in Harry potter- not embarrassed to admit that.
