Has anyone else read Mindset? It's a big topic at my kids' school, but I'm finding it very dry.

Just started The Turn by Mathew Tysz.

I have moved on to Deranged (The Shocking True Story of America's Most Fiendish Killer) by Harold Schechter. True crime is a pretty rare genre for me.

When I taught high school I read books that my students would be interested in. Now that I’m retired I’m reading more adult fiction, but I still like the young adult fantasy fiction. I’m currently reading The Tainted Crown by Meg Cowley. I’ve enjoyed it so far and will probably read the entire series.

Right now, I’m re reading “Lord of The Rings” by JRR Tolkien, “The Glass Castle” by Jeanette Walls, and “The Picture of Dorian Gray” by Oscar Wilde. I’m also reading the play “The Importance of Being Ernest” by Oscar Wilde for the first time. I started reading “Emma” by Jane Austen, but I didn’t really like it. The main character sort of came off as a narcissistic, annoying girl with a god complex and an overdeveloped sense of superiority.
