Gritty, raw, beautifully written, and it takes place in my backyard. (I'm in Houston.)

Fahrenheit 451 is the degree which a book starts to burn. Judging by the context, I'm obliged to say that the title is brilliant.
As an avid reader, I must say that this book touches me greatly.
It talks about a world where books are forbidden. why?
Because they give you knowledge. But why having knowledge is bad?
Because they make illiterate people feel bad about themselves.
For the sake of making everyone equal, the government decided to restrict any type of book related to literature and science. Thus, the government hired "firemen" in order to burn any book on sight. Unfortunately, the owners of the books are ought to be burned with them.
Throughout the book, we witness the amount of ignorance the society has been exposed to, thus, giving your feelings one hell of a roller-coaster.

I'm about to begin Two by Two by Nicholas Sparks (given to me as a Christmas gift by my brother and sister-in-law)

Also currently listening to The City & The City by China Mieville, though I'm only about an hour in and still figuring out whats going on. Mieville is a favorite so I have faith it'll work out.
