The last book was Flowers for Algernon. The book is written in the diary genre. It is easy to read, in one breath. Affects very subtle levels of the human psyche. Things are rising that many of us have thought and are thinking about ... I was surprised in one place by the description of the hero, which looks like he is in a meditative state: the body expands, merges almost with the universe, etc. I liked the book very much, because I am very interested in the psychology of the human soul and this kind of work: the description of the sensations of the most experimented is amazing and unusual.

Right now I am reading Malibu Rising, which I've heard is absolutely amazing. After this, I plan to read the other books by the same author, Taylor Jenkins Reid. I also am reading East Wind right now, which I am reviewing. They are very different, but I am enjoying both of them. It's finally warm enough to take books out near the pool, so I am also open for any good summer suggestions!
