It did when I was younger--not so much anymore. Though it might have to do with the fact that I prefer reading indoors and with minimal lighting, so if I were more adventurous with my reading locations, I suppose it probably would. Glad to hear that some find the weather changes to be inspiring!

The weather does not affect how I read. But if I were to choose, I'd prefer to read when it is sunny and warm.

Sure it does. Imagine reading a horror book and the thunderstorm is just adding the real-life effects for free.

I think what you just said is something we can all relate to. When there is sunny outside, your spirits are high and you want to do something exciting or fun. Whereas when there is bleak or dreary weather, your body tends to feel sleepy and wants to relax. If you live reading then this is what you will be more interested in doing.

Yeah, it directly effects me. I love to read books in a calm and cool weather. In a hot day I can't even read a couple of pages.

I don't actually think that the weather affects me but I just hate it when it's summer and I'm sweating a lot and my book's starting to get wet.

I always have a book or two I'm in the process of reading. I consider a nice snow storm, or other extreme weather event a boon if it gets me a whole day off work to read.

I usually read more when it's raining, but I think it's only because I stay more at home. Some of my best "reading memories" have been by the side of a pool in a sunny day.

I think it does sometimes, but it doesn't have a direct effect on when I decide to sit and read. I do tend to enjoy it more though, when it is a rainy and gloomy day and I can curl up in my big chair in front of my window with blankets and coffee or tea and read. If I'm invested in a story though, it does not matter when or where or if it's rainy or sunny- if I NEED to finish it, I pretty much do nothing else but read until I'm done.
