Hardcover books can seem so smooth and just pleasant to hold. Paperback on the other hand you can twist and fold and really make it like your own book. In the end , if I have to choose it would be Paperback I guess.
Absolutely correct my sentiments too.

Plus, I feel like paperbacks are easier to read/handle. However, sometimes I will go for a hardcover if I know I will be carrying it around often, or if it is a longer, heavier book.
Saves a lot especially if you are on a tight budget.

I love hardcovers more. Probably because they last longer.

I am more used to hardcovers book. I think hardcovers last longer to me than paperbacks. Paperbacks get bent to easily and it's a bit annoying too me.

I'm ok with either paperback or hard cover but I'm the same, if I buy one book in a certain format, I want all my books of a series in the same format. I want the whole series to match.

Hardcovers are sturdy. I don't like my books getting creases. But paperbacks are cheaper so I tend to buy them instead and I just cover them up with some thick plastic to protect them lol

I usually choose paperback, because I think the price difference between the two is way too much. It's just that I can't afford to buy whole series for a 20-40% higher price. Other than that in my opinion, both have there advantages and disadvantages. Lighter or heavier books, easily damaged or better protection. I would love to have books that dont look like I've read them 3 times, when only read once, but not for that price.

Honestly I don't mind either but I like the way I can dramatically close a hardback with proper sound effect. And the fact that it doesn't crinkle up like a paperback if you accidentally spill a few drops of water on it (don't judge, accidents happen). Mostly I just take whats feasible

Hardback is better cause it will last for a long time, also withstand dirts.

If it is a book I think I will read multiple times, or if it a classic I prefer hardback. Otherwise, I am thrifty (cheap) so I prefer paperback. Also, by breaking the spine of a paperback (don't judge) I can tell where I left off or if I've read the book. (Sidebar: now I buy digital because they are cheapest and I can get them right away.)
